Child Protection Level 1 for Practitioners – Due to the success of the launch of the Child Protection Training website, Child Protection Training have now launched this specialised training course specifically aimed towards Education Sectors, Early Years Centres, Residential children and young people, Social Workers and all staff who are responsible for safeguarding children within their organisation.
This introduction gives practitioners the foundation of understanding roles and responsibilities regarding safeguarding Children and Young People. Working Together to Safeguard Children’ (2013) places a duty on all employers to ensure that the staff is competent and confident in carrying out their responsibilities for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Child Protection Level 1 for Practitioners – Training is particularly useful for Education staff, Residential Homes Managers/ Senior staff, Social Workers, Y.O.T Managers, Early years, Practice Nurses, NHS, Independent Health Contractors and anyone who is responsible for safeguarding children within their organisation.
Introduction to the Child Protection Training Level 1:
The workshop looks at what child abuse is, how to spot potential signs of abuse, how to respond if a child confides in you and the steps that can be taken to safeguard their welfare. The aim of this session is to increase staff knowledge in relation to signs and symptoms of child abuse, understanding of the grooming process to understand Child Protection Procedures and to feel more confident in handling disclosures.
The course meets government guidance,” Working Together to Safeguard Children 2013 including OFSTED new inspection frame work 2012/OFSTED section 5 inspection framework updated January 2014”
